Edible & Colorful Table Decor

You all responded so positively to the book idea, yesterday. So, I thought it would only be fair to show you the rest of the table. My food did double duty and helped to create a beautiful setting while also filling everyone’s stomachs. Aren’t the fruit kabobs fun?!

Stay In Style!

Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood, Mississippi

Stay In Style

If you are looking for a simple, down home, and darn right stylish place to vacate, try the Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood, Mississippi. The Viking Range Corporation built and runs the hotel and it is perfectly tucked away in the small town of Greenwood where Viking’s factory and headquarters are. This is such a neat little place. It is truly a company town. You can visit their new spa if you want to pamper yourself a bit and you can even take a cooking class right across the street at Viking’s own cooking school. The hotel, itself is a real treat. It is quaint and stylish, and the service is nothing short of that good old southern hospitality. The food at any one of their restaurants is to die for! I promise you that you will really enjoy your entire experience there so much that you may not want to come home!

Quick and Elegant Makeover!

Believe it or not, this makeover is much easier than it looks! In fact, it is a great one for rental renovations! It requires no paint at all. All you need is a few panels of drapes against one wall to begin creating the drama and a cool piece of art to at some sizzle. This can be done in any room of the house. Behind a bed is a great one, too. Here, the whole design was perfectly executed with the colorful chandelier and the plates that tie in with the art. Great design is all about layering, but also knowing when to stop.
